Lexie Virginia Bailey

Lexie Virginia Bailey, 89, of Panther, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at her residence. Lexie was born July 18, 1926, in Kentucky, a daughter of the late, Lee and Roy Coleman Hunt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bailey; two brothers, Ellis and James Hunt, three sisters, Anna Mae Jones, Mildred Manuels, and Audrey Cline. Survivors include her son, with whom she made her home, Edward (Buddy Boy) Bailey and his companion and her care giver Bonnie Lester; one daughter Betty Lou (Richard) Cline; Michael Hunt, whom she raised; two granddaughters, Selena Hunt and Ginger Cline; three great granddaughters, one great grandson; one brother, Denver Hunt of Mohawk, WV; one sister Hazel Jones of Dearborn MI; two special nephews, Roger Jones of Dearborn, MI and Allen Hunt of Mohawk, WV; and her special little friends whom she loved dearly, Nathaniel, Hunter, and Landyn Abbott, Barry, Farrah, and Alona. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 11 o'clock with Elder Fred Bailey, Elder Dallas Dotson, Elder Charles Hunt, and Elder Arthur Short officiating at the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Bull Creek near Mohawk, WV. Burial will follow in the Ida Coleman Cemetery at Isom Branch near Mohawk, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Friends may visit with the family Saturday evening, February 20, 2016 after 6 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Bull Creek near Mohawk, WV, where an evening service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV, is assisting the Bailey Family.
