Dorothy Marie Woodward, 88 of Valley Park, MO, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Big Bend Woods. Dorothy was formerly from Nortonville, KY. She was born November 7, 1927, in Christian County to the late William Charles and Mary Elizabeth McGar. Dorothy was employed by the FW Woolworth and Ritepoint Corporation, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fenton, MO. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter Alfred Woodward; four sisters, Hazel Walker, Edna Barnett, Ozie Johnson, and Fairley McGar; and her brother, Eugene McGar. Survived by her sister, Nell Stuart of Madisonville; daughter, Jean Turner; four grandchildren, Diane (Christian) Wheeler, Joanna Harrison, David and Paul Harrison; three great-grandsons, Jeremiah, Liam, and Trenton. Services will be at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville at 1 p.m. Saturday with Bro. Mike Woodward officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville.
