Mary Lee Young, 96, of White Plains passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016, at her home. Mary was born August 18, 1919, to the late Henry and Ethel Crick Lee. She was a member of Fern Hill Church. She worked at the Carty Canning Factory in White Plains. Mary then began working and retired from White Plains school where she was known as "Momma Mary" to the children. Preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Young; son, Jimmy Young; four grandchildren, Corey Young, Kim Chapman, Bryan Hopper, and Mark Young; and two sisters, Flora Mae Elkins and Juanita Browning. Mary is survived by her four daughters, Elaine (Gaylon) Hopper, Janet (Tex) Smith, Denise (Ricky) Scott, and Diane Chapman; son, Danny Young; sixteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gene Loyd Lee. Services will be 2:00pm Sunday at Bandy Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains. Pallbearers are Jeff Chapman, Jody Darnell, Chris Payne, Jacob McIntosh, Troy Smith, and Ryan Smith. Visitation will be after 11am Sunday.
