Carlos Rex Camplin, Sr.

Carlos Rex Camplin, Sr., 70 of Crofton, passed away on February 4, 2016, at his home. Carlos was born June 9, 1945, to the late Maxie and Mary Brummett Camplin. He was a member of the House of Prayer church in Nortonville. Carlos is also preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Camplin; three sisters, Nora Dell Sappington, Katherine Key, and Priscilla Nichols; and two brothers, Pete and Edward Camplin. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Helen Hart Camplin; his daughter, Sherry (Craig) Grosskaopf of Crofton; three sons, Carlos Camplin, Jr. of Crofton, Darrell (Tera) Camplin of Crofton, and Travis Camplin of Crofton; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Tony Camplin of Mortons Gap, Baxter Camplin of Crofton, and Emmett Camplin of White Plains. Services will be held Saturday, February 6, at 11:00am at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville, KY, with Bro. Duane Camplin officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Gilland Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5p - 8p and Saturday after 9am at the funeral home.
