Eric Paul Jenschke Obituary

Eric Paul Jenschke, age 79, of Fond du Lac, died December 10, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born December 12, 1935 in Fredricksburg, TX, a son of Adolf and Olga (Kunz) Jenschke. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in San Antonio, TX. Eric served his country from 1955 to 1959 in the U.S. Navy. He sailed on the USS Wisconsin and later, the USS General Maurice Rose, where he met his future wife, Barbara Franc. Barb and Eric were married on April 21, 1959 at St. Josephs Church in De Pere, WI. They lived briefly in San Antonio and then relocated to De Pere. Eric graduated from St. Norbert College. Eric worked as Headwaters District Executive of the Badger Council of Boy Scouts in Fond du Lac from 1963 to 1966. He was hired as Personnel Director of St. Agnes Hospital in 1966 and worked in Human Resources in other roles until his retirement in 1995. Eric enjoyed fishing, wood working, reading and spending time at the cottage. Eric is survived by his daughter Jacqueline (Dennis) Ige, son Kurt (Linda) Jenschke, granddaughters Jeannette (Tyler) Paschen and Katharine Westphal, 3 great grandchildren and two sisters, Mary (Lou) Shelton and JoAnn (John) McDonald. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Barbara, and two brothers, David and Vernon. Services: The family will welcome relatives and friends of Eric and Barbara Jenschke on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St, Fond du Lac, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place in the early Spring at Nicolet Memorial Gardens in Green Bay, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Erics and Barbaras names to Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
