Tami Slough, age 56, of Greenfield, Iowa formerly of Clarinda, Iowa entered into peace Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Clarinda Regional Health Center, Clarinda, Iowa. Funeral Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Ritchie Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa with Pastor Marcia Cline officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2019 at Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM with the family greeting friends. Memorials may be directed to Clarinda Medical Foundation. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Clarinda, Iowa, where we ‘Celebrate Life’. Tami Lou Slough was born March 25, 1963, in Wayne, Nebraska to Boyd Waltermeyer and Betty (Rucker) Waltermeyer. While growing up, Tami’s family moved often living in several states throughout the United States due to her father’s job. She graduated from high school in Ada, Minnesota in 1981. Tami was united in marriage May 2, 1998 to Scott Slough and he welcomed her daughter Lindsey to their family and they were blessed with a daughter, Erin. Tami has had a variety of jobs during her working career. While living in Clarinda, she worked at NSK, was jailer at the Page County Jail and worked in the Union County Treasurers office while living in Creston. Her favorite occupation was being a Para Professional at Nodaway Valley Community Schools in Greenfield. Tami was a very caring person and loved having her girls' friends at the house, the more, the merrier. She was a friend to all. Tami was an excellent cook and enjoyed doing crafts and doing s’mores around the campfire. Most of all, Tami loved being a Grandma. She loved being with her family. Preceding Tami in death are her parents, Boyd and Betty Waltermeyer; mother-in-law, Dee Slough; sister, Teresa Mather, and sister in law, Lynn Lawson. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Scott Slough of Greenfield, Iowa; daughters, Lindsey Booher and husband Ryan of Yorktown, Iowa, Erin Slough of Yorktown, Iowa; grandchildren, Brylee and Brody Booher; brother, Leslie Lawson of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska; sister, Nancy May and husband Gerald of Fremont, Nebraska; father-in-law, Jim Slough and wife Vicki of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother-in-law, Steve Slough and wife Denise of Clarinda, Iowa; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
