Mavis Ann Barnett of Miami, OK passed from this life Friday, September 20, 2019 at Integris Miami Hospital. She was 69. Mavis was born August 16, 1950 in Wyandotte, OK to Fred and Thelma Witte. She had lived in the Miami, Quapaw and Wyandotte area all her life. She graduated from Wyandotte High School Class of 19638. She was the head housekeeper at the Best Western Hotel in Miami, OK and had worked at DeMar Dry Cleaning in Miami, OK. Mavis was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren Kynnith Jordon Barnett and Keegan Andrew Barnett and her parents. She married Fred Barnett in 1977 and he survives of the home, additional survivors include 4 sons Brian Barnett of Miami, OK, Danny Barnett of Miami, OK, Jeremy Barnett and wife Alyson of Miami, OK and Jason Barnett and wife Christina of Webb City, MO, her brother Ed Witte of Stark City, MO and 4 sisters Rosena Douthit of Fairland, OK, Virginia Mahurin of Fairland, OK, Vivian Elliott of Fairland, OK and Ruby Angus of Rochester, NY, 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will have a Celebration of Life Visitation Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
