Alder Creek- Hilda E. Collins, 96, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she had resided since 2012. Hilda was born in Woodgate, a daughter of Walter O. and Edith H. Peck Drexel. She grew up on Rt. 28, Woodgate and graduated from Forestport Central School, Class of 1939. For several years Mrs. Collins was employed as an assembler at Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. Utica. On December 31, 1953, she was united in marriage with Stuart Collins, in Boonville. Mr. Collins passed away on May 2, 1987. Hilda is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Johnson, Boonville and Greta Smith, Alder Creek. She was predeceased by a sister, Lydia Scheehl. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be Wednesday, at 2:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment to follow in Woodgate Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
