ALEXANDRIA- Larry M. Mudd, 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness. He was born on March 1, 1939 in Wabash to Paul and Audrey (Foley) Mudd and has lived in Alexandria for most of his lifetime. For several years, Larry was a telephone contractor working on military bases across the country. He worked briefly for Johns-Manville in Alexandria. Larry has owned and operated Mudd’s Electrical and Trenching Service since 1975. He retired as a Journeyman Electrician from Chrysler in Kokomo in 2000. Larry was a Past Worthy President of Alexandria Eagles-#1771, He was also a member of the Alexandria Izaak Walton League, UAW #1166, the Vintage Car Club and Piston Popper’s Club. He loved mushroom hunting, fishing and bluegrass music. Survivors: Wife-Charlene Mudd-married August 4, 1957 3 Daughters-Audrey (Barry) Harrison-Middlebury, Tina (Chris) Jackson-Anderson, Frances (Dusty) Starr-Goshen Son-Robert “Bobby” Mudd-Alexandria 5 Grandchildren’ 11 Great-Grandchildren Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a son-Larry Mudd Jr., Brother-Daniel Mudd Graveside services will take place at 6 PM on Monday, September 23, 2019 in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 North Harrison Street, Alexandria on Monday from 3 pm to 5:45 pm prior the graveside services.
