Jean Marie Riddle

Jean Riddle passed peacefully on the Feast of All Saints in Phoenix Arizona on November 1 2015 with her family at her bedside. She was born on April 26 1918 in Erie Pennsylvania to John and Frances Selinger. Jean was the beloved wife of Jerome Riddle for 55 years and the cherished mother of eight children. Jean proudly raised her children on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania and began her successful working career after all the children were educated and pursued their careers. She instilled in her family the same values that she lived in her life. The importance and love of your family pride integrity a strong work ethic and her emphasis to care for one another and those less fortunate. Jean was the first Food and Beverage Manager for Ramada Inn in Erie Pennsylvania Resident Manager of the exclusive London House in Washington DC and Customer Service Manager at U-Haul International in Phoenix Arizona. Jean enjoyed many family vacations and especially her annual trips to Oceanside California. She was an avid reader and loved cooking for family and friends. Jean's kindness warmth and caring ways were lovingly given to family friends and all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents husband Jerome daughter Mary Riddle daughters-in-law Liz Riddle Lynne Riddle and son-in-law Jim Mangum. Jean is survived by her 7 children; Jerome Riddle Shirley (Chuck) Hitmar Patty Riddle David Riddle John (Terri) Riddle Dianne Mangum and Lois (Norm) Atkin. Jean was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed but her memory will be cherished forever. Visitation will be held Wednesday November 4 2015 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria with a time of sharing to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday November 5 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 6180 W. Utopia Rd. Glendale with burial to follow at West Resthaven Park Cemetery.

I remember Aunt Jean and am sorry for your loss. The last time I had visited I was with Terry and Gwen and visited in Phoenix. I think that would have been 1969.
