Mrs. Tammy R. Davis, 62, of Franklin, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Davis was born July 22, 1957, in LaGrange, and lived in Franklin for a number of years. A graduate of West Georgia Technical College, she had been employed as a licensed practical nurse at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. She was a member of Saved by Grace Church in Roanoke, AL and enjoyed being a caregiver, not only as her occupation but also for her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Melvin T. Davis of Franklin; daughter, Tonia Johnstone of LaGrange; sons, Jason Davis and his fiancée Cassandra Williamson of Franklin, Kevin Posey and his wife Kim of Temple; mother and step-father, Betty and Jack Gross of Wedowee, AL; sisters, Kelly Heath of LaGrange, Debbie Kelley of Lanett, AL; brother, Howard Harris, Jr. of Lanett; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Harris. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Charlie Whaley and the Reverend Jerry Davis will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
