Susan Kay Elliott – Gate City, VA Susan Kay Elliott, 56, Gate City, VA passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Bristol Rehab Facility in Bristol, Virginia. Susan was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 16, 1962 to her father, the late, Rhea Laney and her mother, Betty Laney. She is survived by her mother, Betty Lou Laney, Ft. Blackmore, VA; daughter, Tanya Lynn Street and husband, Seth, Richlands, VA; brother, Jackie Rhea Laney and wife, Lana, Ft. Blackmore, VA; grandchild, Hunter Rhea Street; niece, Jessica Laney, Duffield, VA; great niece, Kenzie Laney; along with several friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m. – 1:00p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her mother. Funeral services will be conducted in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Marvin Egan officiating. Music will be provided by the Pine Grove Harmony. Burial will follow the service, Sunday, September 15 at the Carter Cemetery in the Stoney Creek Community of Scott County, VA. Ivan Elliott, Seth Street, Kenneth Street, Jackie Laney, Joey Parks and Dennis Strong will serve as pallbearers. Family and Friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
