Thomas Everett Churchill Obituary

Thomas Everett Churchill 70, of Kimball Township, and formerly of Memphis, died Friday morning, September 13, 2019, at home. He was born April 11, 1949, in Mt. Clemens, the son of the late Clarence and Fairee (Paul) Churchill. He married Annabelle Chamberlain on June 9, 1972, in Richmond. Thomas served his country with the United States Army in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. He was employed by Ford Motor Company, Sterling Assembly Plant, for 25 years until his retirement in 2008. Thomas was a former J.V. girls softball coach for Memphis High School and coached for summer recreation programs in Memphis and Richmond for over 30 years. He enjoyed tinkering in his barn, family card night, watching softball, spending time with his grandkids, casino trips, driving his tractor, and loved talking with people. Surviving in addition to his wife Annabelle of 47 years are two daughters and a son-in-law, Brandie and Dennis Williams of Wisconsin and Nikole Churchill of Smiths Creek, four sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas II and April of Columbus Twp., Gregory of Port Huron, Nathan and Corrie of Memphis and Jonathon of Virginia; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, four brothers and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister. The family honors the memory of Thomas and invites you to visit and share memories Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Burial will be at Memphis Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to “Wishes of the Family”.
