James M. “Jim” Barnes, age 92 of Smyrna, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, September 16, 2019, in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Smyrna, Mr. Barnes retired from the US Army after 22 years. He owned and operated Cascade Dental Labs for over 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion Post #160. Preceding him in death were his wife Wyolene Barnes, son Gary Barnes, and 9 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his son Greg (Cindy) Barnes, sister Elizabeth Livsy, grandchildren Shannon and Samantha Barnes, numerous nieces and nephews.
