Charlene E. (Frair) Dale, 87, formerly of Sherburne and Minoa, NY passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Loretto Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse. She was born September 18, 1931 in Sherburne Four Corners, a daughter of Charles and Viola Whaley Frair. She was a graduate of Sherburne High School and the Powelson Business Institute in Syracuse. In November 1952, Charlene married William Alan Dale who predeceased her in June 1973. Charlene was the business manager of K-Mart in DeWitt, NY until retiring. She was a member of the Brewerton Disciples of Christ Church. Surviving are her daughter Cherry Lamb of Liverpool; a son, Kerry (Wendy) Dale of Syracuse; brothers, Charles (Cynthia) Frair, Frank (Susie) Frair, all of Sherburne; six grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Kristian Owens. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Faith Baptist Tabernacle, 8 Utica Rd., Sherburne, followed by interment in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne. Friends are invited to call at the church from 9 to 11am prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St, Sherburne.
