Norman Harold Tate Obituary

Norman Tate, 64, of Gypsy passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at United Hospital Center. He was born November 23, 1954 a son of the late Charles and Grace Owens Tate.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Rene Drain Tate. Also surviving are his four sons, Steven Tate of Gypsy; Norman Tate and his companion Dakota Yeager of Shinnston; Gervice Tate and his companion Cassandra Knotts of Grafton; and Robert Tate of Gypsy; his grandchildren, Destiny, Tori, Jackson, Heath and Walyn; and his great-grandchildren, Greyson and Carson; also surviving are his three brothers, Ronald Tate and his wife Alesia of Gypsy; Jim Tate and his wife Yvonne of Meadowbrook; and Dave Tate, Gypsy; and his sister, Suzie Tate of Gypsy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Owens and his wife Pansey; his infant brother, Charles; and his sister-in-law, Donna Tate.
Norman was full of life and was always happy and smiling. He was a very proud father and loved his family. He was previously employed at Maximum Medical in Bridgeport and currently at the Clarksburg Walmart. Norman enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his younger years, he loved raising and riding horses on the farm.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Brother Tom Brown will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. Online condolences can be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com
