Kenneth Hall Obituary

MSGT retired Kennth Hall of Dover, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, December 11, 2015. He was 88. Kenneth was born in Jackhorn, Kentucky, August 31, 1927 to the late Samp Hall, Sr. and Minerva Webb Hall. He joined the United States Army and served in various locales throughout the world. Kenneth was a tank commander during WWII and transferred to the United States Air Force in 1957 and served in Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor after saving his squad during a mission. Kenneth retired in 1967 from the service and stayed in the Reserves. He earned a computer programming degree and worked at General Foods, now Kraft from 1968-1984.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helga Hall, 2009 and thirteen brothers and sisters. He is survived by his brother, Samp Hall, Jr.; sister, Mildred; son, William Hall; daughter, Arlene Hall Haehnlein and her husband Jurgen; son, Alfred Hall and his spouse, Richard Picardi; grandsons, James H. Earl and Kenneth M. Haehnlein. A memorial for our beloved father and grandfather will be held 1PM, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford, Dover, DE. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Combat Wounded Coalition, 1220 Executive Blvd., Suite, 109, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
