Paul Edwin Maughan Born March 4, 1944 in Antioch, Contra Costa County, California Died December 28, 2015 in Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona Married to Judy Ann King on May 19, 1967 in the LDS temple in Oakland, CA. Married for 48.5 years and looking forward to an eternity together. Paul was a very kind, sweet, honest, and God loving man. He was a loving father, husband, and friend. He changed many lives because he truly loved others and encouraged them to be their best. He treated everyone with dignity. He looked beyond the faults of others and saw all that was good in them. This helped others to see themselves in that same light and made them feel special. Paul was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ and spent his life striving to become more like his Savior. He served a mission for the church for two and a half (2 1/2 years) in the France/Swiss Mission. Paul always enjoyed serving others. He taught this to his children by involving them whenever he helped others. He dearly loved his family and counted them as his crowning glory. Paul was always honest in his dealings with others. This trait helped him professionally over the years as he rose from working as a loan officer to a regional manager and later became a sheriff's deputy. He will be dearly missed. We are very grateful for the knowledge that we have of our Heavenly Father’s plan and that we know that this is not really goodbye. It is more like “see you later”. We love you and look forward to seeing you again in the life hereafter. We are grateful for your example which taught us about temple blessings and forever families. Survived by his wife Judy Maughan and children, Eric Maughan (Jamee Maughan), Gregory Maughan (Tracie Maughan), Darcie Maughan, Dana Miller (Derek Miller), Paul Maughan (Brittany Maughan) and grandchildren, Tylor Maughan (Callie Maughan), Corey Maughan, Emma Maughan, Michael Maughan, Jeremy Maughan, Michelle Maughan, Joshua Maughan, Trenton Miller, Kaydon Miller, Ella Miller & Emilee Maughan.March 4, 1944 - December 28, 201503/04/194412/28/2015
