Adelia Clifton Spruill

Adelia Clifton Spruill, 81, of Creswell died Friday, December 11, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Camden. Born November 30, 1934 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late Charlie Clifton and Bertha Phelps Clifton and was preceded in death by her sons, Lindsey E. Spruill, III and Charlie S. Spruill; brothers, Adele Clifton, Vance Clifton and Junior Clifton; sisters, Mildred Spencer, Violet Malpass and Velma Spear. Adelia was the former owner of Creswell Tastee-Freeze and a member of Philippi Church of Christ. Her family includes daughters, Rhesa Spruill Davis and husband Billy of Creswell, N.C. and Lisa Spruill Meiggs and husband Ken of Camden, N.C.; sister, Mary Spruill of Creswell, N.C.; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Philippi Church of Christ with Glenn Brickhouse officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Philippi Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.

MS ADELIA WAS A SPECIAL LADY. I LOVED GOING TO THE TASTIE FREEZE SHE WAS ALWAYS TRYING TO SET ME UP WITH SOMEBODY. SHE WAS FUNNY HAD A GOOD TIME WITH HER SHE IS AT REST NOW
