Edward Hidalgo Ontiveros

Edward “Lalo” Hidalgo Ontiveros, Tulsa resident, passed away peacefully at home Thursday evening December 10, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on May 28, 1934 to his parents, Jose Maria and Josefa (Hidalgo) Ontiveros. Lalo married the love of his life, Antonia Fuentes on May 10, 1957 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They celebrated 58 years of marriage this year. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his Honorable Discharge, he continued to work at Fort Bliss as a Commissary Stock Clerk. Lalo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Maria Ontiveros & Josefa Hidalgo Ontiveros; siblings, Santiago Ontiveros and Alicia Ontiveros; grandchildren, Amy Balderrama. He leaves many loving memories with his family, wife, Antonia Fuentes Ontiveros; children, Priscilla Ann Ontiveros, Katherine Ballard, Velicia Cedillo, Ron Ontiveros; grandchildren, Bianca Lynn Shamulzai, Jeremy Edward Blanco, Jacob Elijah Blanco, Ami Yvette Rudd, Triston Anthony Ballard, Kristun Nicole Lucero, Justin Cedillo, Kamron Gabriel Ontiveros, Hunter Alexander Ontiveros, and Danielle Gabby Jaime. Caribbe Zunamy Jaime; great-grandchildren, Abrahim Gabriel Shamulzai, Meena Celicia Shamulzai, Zachary Esai Shamulzai, Mariam Catherine Shamulzai, Gabrielle Madison Bey, Joie Lucero, Brandon Lucero, Leah Lucero; siblings, Chavela Benavides, Frank Ontiveros, Rosie Barrela, Minnie Lujan, Albert Ontiveros, and Rudy Ontiveros; as well as many other loving relatives. Viewing and Visitation will be 6:00 PM -8:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Schaudt’s Glenpool Funeral Service, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, OK. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Schaudt’s Glenpool Funeral Service with Don McBroom officiating. Military Honors provided by the Tinker Air Force Base Honor Guard.
