Charlotte JoAnn (Dow) Lee, 76, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the Church of God in Ark City. Pastor Bucky Sitsler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Parker Cemetery. Friends may greet the family 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Charlotte was born April 26, 1939, to Enoch N. and Florine (Cravens) Dow in Fairview, OK. She was reared and educated in Fairview. After receiving her GED, Charlotte attended and graduated from Cowley College. In 1956, She married Kenneth Lee Canaday. The couple later divorced. Charlotte then married Jerry Benton Lee in 1973 in Arkansas City where the couple made their home. Charlotte owned and operated her own business as a Reflexologist for many years. She was also a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, watching her grandchildren play sports, and cherished spending time with her family. She was a member of the West Kansas Avenue Church of God. Survivors include her children, Rocky Lee Canaday Sr. and fiancé Carol Cook; Bart Canaday; Rashell Dianne Kincaid; Jeri Kaylenn Lee and fiancé James Clark all of Arkansas City, KS; siblings, Charles Dow of Winfield, KS; Alberta Babes and husband Jimmy of Fort Worth, TX; Fay Dow and wife Delilah of Popular, MO; Kenny Dow of Arkansas City, KS; Bonnie Lager and husband Larry of Sunset, LA; grandchildren, Melissa, Jessie, Joseph, Jeffrey, Kenny, Andy, Christopher, Wazi, Bambi, Rocky Jr., Tishalee, Holly, Heidi, Hope, Gage, Jarod, and Jace; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Josh, Madison, Payton, Dillon, Teresa, Adalin, Jay, Tatiana, Aiden, Mia, Joseph, numerous other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many adopted family and friends that knew her as mom and grandma. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry Lee, infant daughter Tina Canaday, siblings Tom and Roy Dow, Clara Bullard, children Doris McGuire, Jessie and James Canaday. A memorial has been established for Gentiva Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home.
