Richard J. Poluha

POLUHA Richard J., loving husband of 46 years to Janice. Adoring father to Kristin Ropp (Christopher), and grandfather to Henry and Daniel. Brother-in-law Christopher Tozana. Richard passed away on December 11, 2015 at the age of 77. "Richie" was a 1969 graduate of Duquesne University, and proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Artillery during the Vietnam War. After the war, he was a longtime Hospital Administrator for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Upon leaving UPMC, Richard was a Nursing Home Administrator for 18 years. After retiring, Richard and Janice moved to Cincinnati, from Pittsburgh, to be with their family in 2007. He passed along to his family his love for life, family, and THE STEELERS! Visitation will be Thursday December 17th from 9:30AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 7820 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255. It comes with a great deal of sadness I have lost a friend! I just got his Christmas card! Rich was kind, considerate and loved his family. I will always remember the stories he told about his grandchildren! RIP Rich, Prayers for your family!

When God measures a man, he puts tape around the heart. I know Rich had a big heart,always had a smile and friendly. He will be missed and loved forever.
