Ruth Marie Burstahler April 6, 1936 – July 26, 2019 It is with great sadness that we report that Ruth passed away peacefully on July 26. Ruth had no children, but will be sadly missed by her 9 nieces and nephews and many friends. Ruth was a nurse by profession and spent most of her career involved in nursing education, both in Canada and also abroad with the World Health Organization. Throughout her life she was passionate about the welfare of animals and the education of women. It was her request that no memorial be held. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory, please do so to the BCSPCA or the charity of your choice.
