JAVA, Juanita Adams Adkins, age 87, of Java, passed away on Sunday August 18, 2019 in Courtland. She was born on March 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Raymond T. Adams and the late Isabel Finch Adams. Ms. Adkins was a longtime member of Providence United Methodist Church in Java. She retired from Ennis Business Forms after over 37 years of service. She had a love of gardening and enjoyed planting her flowers and watching them grow. She is survived by a son, Tim Adkins; a daughter, Theresa Adams; a brother, Calvin Adams and his wife Peggy; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Hugh Adams and Bruce Adams; and sisters Mildred Shelton and Narvie Richards. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday August 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at Providence United Methodist Church in Java. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Highland Burial Park in Danville. Scott Funeral Home in Chatham is assisting the Adkins family.
