Margaret Bates Wiles

Mrs. Margaret Bates Wiles, 90, of Winston-Salem, passed away on November 12, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Margaret was born on December 6, 1924, in Forsyth County to Roy Henry and Lottie Everhart Bates. She was a dedicated and very active member of Woodland Baptist Church since 1954. Margaret retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 40 years of loyal service. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 23 years, Corbett Alton Wiles; two children, Melvin Wiles and Shelby Nelson; and one granddaughter, Tonya Thorpe. She is survived by two children, Michael Wiles and wife Sharon of Clemmons, and Gale Wiles of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Minton of Kernersville. A funeral service for Margaret will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted and memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

Only now am I learning of Margaret's passing. What a dear and faithful lady! She is certainly at home among all those "Faithful Followers" in Heaven now. And, I am quite envious. We shall meet again, lovely and loving lady!
