Chester "Booger" Crosby Jr., age 80 passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at his home in Wright City, OK. He was born on January 25, 1939 in Wright City, the son of Chester Crosby Sr. and Eva Felker Crosby. Booger was a graduate of Wright City High School, received his associates at Eastern in Wilburton and attended Oklahoma State University. He married Jane Williamson in Wright City on December 4, 1964. Booger pipelined for over 25 years. He served 4 years as McCurtain County Commissioner for District 3. He served as Housing Director for the Choctaw Nation and was the Director of Restoration and Maintenance for the Wheelock Academy for several years. Booger was very proud of his Choctaw Heritage. Booger enjoyed taking care of his ranch and cattle. When he was younger he liked to fish and hunt. Booger was proud of his family especially his grandchildren who he loved spending time with. He was a member of the Green Chapel Assembly of God Church and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his parents. Booger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane Crosby of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Trey and Rose Crosby of Lindale, TX; daughters and son-in-law, Chami and Michael Eubank of Corsicana, TX and Chantay Mathis of Valliant, OK; grandchildren, Morgan Mathis, Macee Mathis, Max Mathis, Blair Boling, Creed Baker and Chester "CJ" Crosby IV; his sister, JoAnn Crosby Hobbs of Wright City, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the funeral home.. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Green Chapel Assembly of God Church in the Herndon Community, OK with Bro. Lynn Gaskey and Bro Walt Spradlin officiating. Interment will follow at the Valliant Cemetery.
