George Allan Cochran, 51 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at his home. Born April 24, 1964 in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Virginia Clevinger Smith of Rosedale, VA and the late Okey Cochran. George was an avid outdoors man, a loving son, father, brother and uncle. Survivors in addition to his mother Virginia Clevinger Smith of Rosedale, VA, include his fiancé Pauline Slone of Grundy, VA; son Randy Cochran of Grundy, VA; sister Betty Looney and husband Eddie of Breaks, VA; brothers Paul Douglas Cochran of Grundy, VA, Ricky Cochran and wife Rhonda of Knoxville, TN, Tony Cochran of Lebanon, VA, Michael Cochran of Grundy, VA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for George Allan Cochran will be conducted at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Grundy, VA, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 with Evangelist Mike Rife officiating. Burial will follow in the Deel Cemetery, Bull Mountain Road, Harman, VA. Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.
