Lillian Tuttle Cope

Mrs. Lillian Marie Tuttle Cope, age 89 of Advance, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Trinity Elms. She was born August 23, 1926 in Forsyth County to the late Oscar Wiley Tuttle and Eleanor Henrietta “Etta” Griffin. Also preceding her in death are three brothers, Dwight, Hilary and Russell Tuttle and five sisters, Alma Fry, Margaret Tucker, Irene Holt, IvaLee Wagoner and Pauline James. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Willie M. Cope of the home; six children; Sharon Boger (Ken) of Mocksville, David Cope (Freida) of Advance, Tim Cope (Darlene) of Rural Hall, Deborah Bailey (Beetle) of Advance, Mark Cope (Sue) of Advance and Lisa Hill (Eric) of Mocksville; eleven grandchildren, Scott Boger, Pam Roberson (Dale), Susan Panozzo, Crystal Warren, Sondra Redd, Allen Cope (Kelly), Heather Ross (Ike), Brian Casey (Tomisha), Aaron Cope (Meghan), Ashley Cope and Brittany Burton (A.J.); thirteen great-grandchildren, Justin Roberson, Tyler Warren, Zach Shrewsbury, Kelsey Redd, Kaitlyn Redd, Morgan Pike, Nichole Casey, Braven Casey, Aubree Leonard, Connor Leonard, Aiden Burton, Noah Burton and Eli Burton; one brother, Wiley Tuttle (Eva), one sister, Shirley Newman and one sister-in-law, Marilyn Tuttle and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Macedonia Moravian Church by Pastor Steve Craver. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Moravian Church, 700 NC Hwy 801 N. Advance, NC 27006.
