Elisa Esteves, 77, of Newark, passed away Saturday August 24, 2019. A true homemaker, before her retirement, Elisa was a Nursery Aide for Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Newark. Elisa is survived by her husband Angel, sons Gualberto and Jose, daughters Marilyn, Zenaida Meli and her husband Paul, Liduvina White and her husband Christopher, grandchildren Tyler Meli, Connor, Gavin, and Liam White, and siblings Gregorio, Ismael, Jesus Del Carmen, Raul, and Angel Luis. She was predeceased by her parents Rodrigo and Marta (ne Velez) Ruiz, and siblings Rosalina, Domingo Eugenia,Evangelista,Silvestre, Obdulio, and Sebastian. Visitation is Tuesday 4-8 pm. Mass will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday at St. Michaels Church in Newark, followed by entombment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elisa, may be made to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS.org), or the Alzheimer's Organization (Alz.org).
