Jewell D. Todd Obituary
Jewell D. Todd, 79 of Millstadt, Illinois passed away peacefully on Friday August 2, 2019. Born on December 5, 1939 in Gideon, Missouri, he was the son of Doc and Goldie Todd, nee Fobar and they precede him in death. Jewell was also preceded in death by his sisters: Marie Kirk, Evelyn Holcomb and Donnie Coyer.
Jewell is survived by his wife, Earline Todd of Millstadt, Illinois whom he married on June 14, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri. His daughter, Brenda Todd of St. Louis, Missouri and his siblings: Lloyd (Joan) Todd of Kirkwood, Missouri, Charlie (Judy) Todd of Millstadt, Illinois, Wanda McKenzie of Granite City, Illinois, Jim (Kathy) Todd of Millstadt, Illinois, Lawrence (Peggy) Todd also of Millstadt, Illinois and Robbie (Maggie) Todd of Belleville, Illinois and many nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.
Jewell was a very strong advocate for the advancement of education for deaf persons. He was a lab assistant and mentor at SWIC in the sign language studies department. He was also a member of the Deaf Senior Citizens Center of Belleville.
Friends may call on Tuesday August 6, 2019 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Creason Funeral Home, 220 West Washington Street, Millstadt, Illinois. A memorial service will be held on Monday August 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Christ Church, 339 Frank Scott Parkway, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
