Michael Aaron Towne

Michael Aaron Towne, age 66, of Grants Pass, died August 18, 2019 in Grants Pass. Michael was born June 16, 1953 in Grants Pass. He was a loving father of seven daughters and has been a huge influence in his six grandchildren’s lives as he has helped in their upbringing. Michael was extremely hard working and for over 30 years worked as a millwright. Michael was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For ten years he volunteered to maintain the Hidden Valley High School soccer field. His hobbies included fishing, sailing, deep sea fishing, reading, and researching history. He was a true craftsman and flew an ultralight plane. Survivors include six daughters Andrea Milligan, Mallory Perez, Elizabeth Towne, Katie Dugger, Samantha Towne and Myra Cobian; sister Kimber Kelly; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas and Hally Towne and daughter Erica Dawn Towne. “His impact on our lives’ will stay with us forever and he will be deeply missed.” A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., August 31, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 1969 Williams Highway, Grants Pass.

Mike was one of Karl and mine best friends. I babysat Erica right up until 3 days before she left this earth for Heaven. We love Mike and know he is holding his beautiful daughter in his arms right now....Rest in Peace my friend! hugs Karl & Kathy Nealy
