Roy "Pete" Ensminger

Roy "Pete" Ensminger, 87, of Mercersburg, PA, died August 18, 2019. His death occurred at the home of his granddaughter, Samantha Brown, of St. Albans, Maine. Born April 11, 1932 at Cove Gap, PA, he was a son of the late Morse A. and Dora A. Swisher Ensminger. Pete was a former employee of Rockwell Construction, Parnell Precision, and Grove Worldwide. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Brindle Ensminger, a daughter Barbara Lushbaugh, and a granddaughter, Kelly Deshong. Surviving family include a daughter, Wanda J. (Mark) Deshong of Greencastle, son Ricky E. Ensminger of Winterport, Maine, twin sons, Robert T. (Lisa) Ensminger of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Roger T. (Lori) Ensminger of Sterling, VA. Nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM August 24, 2019 at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor Harry Miller officiating. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
