Thomas D. Nichols Tom died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 18, 2019, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease, at the age 68. Very beloved husband of Christine (nee Kroll) Nichols for 41 years. Loving dad of Jennifer (Justin) Cottrill, Jessi Nichols, Karli Nichols and Ashli (Mike) Maddocks. Proud grandpa of Madison, Mason, Harper and Mackenzie. Dear brother of Carol (Tom) McCabe, Dana (Tom) Whitter, Nanci (Tim) Dillon and the late Scott (Nancy) Nichols. He will also be remembered by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lila (nee Davidson) Nichols. Tom was the best husband, dad and grandpa. A passionate sports fan, as a young family, Tom religiously attended his children's games, cheering loudly on the sidelines. Tom also enjoyed his time rooting for the Green Bay Packers every Sunday. However, first and foremost, it was Tom's family that gave him the most joy. Tom especially cherished time spent with his wife, his girls and grandchildren, laughing, teasing and going on family vacations. One of Tom's favorite places to visit was up north, which included day trips to the Wisconsin Dells, games, campfires and fishing. He looked forward to going to the Wisconsin State Fair with his family every year. He was above all a dedicated family man, and his contagious laugh and sense of humor will forever be missed. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 25, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. Private inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
