Miles Standish Blankenship Sr., 63, of Bartley, WV, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.             Miles was born January 26, 1956 in Welch, WV, a son of the late Wayne and Mary Blankenship.          In addition to his parents Miles was preceded in death by two grandsons, Kane Payton Blankenship and Mason Carter Blankenship; one brother, DL Blankenship and a brother-in-law, Crockett Pruitt.    Those left to treasure his memory are his wife of 39 ½ years, Deborah Blankenship of the home, two daughters, Tabatha Blankenship and Mary (Jason) Coleman all of Bartley; two sons Miles Blankenship Jr. and Clint Blankenship both of Bartley; three grandsons, Miles III (BooBoo) Wyatt (Hairo) and Kolt (Bubba) Blankenship; two granddaughters, Lillian (Bill) Blankenship and Khaleese (Tink) Coleman; one brother, Wayne (Carol) Blankenship of Coshocton, OH; sister-in-law, Julie Blankenship of Millington, MD; three sisters, Shirley Elliott, Doris Pruitt and Eva (John) Kennedy all of Bartley and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.      Miles was a man who loved his family and enjoyed spending every moment he could with his grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.         Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Roger Hale Jr. officiating at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV.  Burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery on Bartley Mountain near Bartley, WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.         Friends may visit Friday, August 23, 2019 after 5 p.m. at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV.       Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV, is assisting the  family.       Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.fanningfuneralhomes.com
