Harold A. Master

Harold A. Master, 73, of Plum Boro, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 24, 1945 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Gerald B. & Nettie M. (Klingensmith) Master. Harold was a 1963 graduate of Plum High School, and a graduate of ICM in Pittsburgh. He proudly served our country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a member of the 1st Signal Brigade, providing telecommunication support to the U.S. Forces. Harold worked as a program analyst for Mine Safety in RIDC Park for 25 years. He was a member of the Plum Boro American Legion Post 980, and the 1st Signal Brigade Association. Harold looked forward to their reunions every other year. Harold loved going to car cruises, attending with his 1976 Corvette Stingray; he also enjoyed fishing at Cooks Forest with his buddies. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his twin brother, Gerald B. “Jerry” Master, Jr., who passed away on January 9, 2019. Harold is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol A. (Pugliano) Master; daughter, Jennifer S. (Benjamin) Bruni of Plum; brothers, Sam Master of Plum, Stanley (Donna) Master of Plum, Norman Master of Sacramento, CA, Ralph (Dottie) Master of Plum; sister, Naomi (Ron) Savakes of Rosemont, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Boro, where military honors will accorded by the Plum American Legion Honor Guard. Interment in Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Harold’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Donation Processing, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD, 21741-5014.
