Jerry Lee Culbertson, son of Raymond & Edith Belle (Myers) Culbertson, was born August 25, 1951 in Jefferson, Iowa. He passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at his home. Jerry graduated from Yale-Jamaica-Bagley High School in 1969. On August 29, 1970, he married Donna Dorr at the Yale United Methodist Church. To this union four beautiful daughters were born. They made their home in Perry for a short time before moving to Bagley. Jerry worked for Oscar Mayer in Perry for about 18 years. In 1990, he worked at Titan Tire in Des Moines before going to work at the Casey’s warehouse in Ankeny. He retired in 2018. Jerry loved his grandchildren and playing with them, he also enjoyed being outdoors and playing slow pitch softball. Jerry is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Kristin (David) Ostrander of Jefferson; Kelli (Ron) Meyer of Carroll; and Kari (Aaron) Kellar of Stuart; grandchildren, Dalton & Dakota Ostrander, Morgan & Rylan Meyer, Maia & Landon Kellar, and Tyler & Katie Tolan; brothers, Gary of Bagley, Don of Long Island, NY, & Wayne of Florida; father-in-law, George Dorr; brothers-in-law, Loyal (Linda) Dorr & Kevin (Susan) Dorr; sister-in-law, Lesli Dorr; many aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews; and his loyal companion dog, Ali. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim, mother-in-law Lois Dorr, brother-in-law Kim Dorr, and niece Kelsey Dorr. Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Twigg Funeral Home, Panora. Burial of his cremains will be in the Dodge Township Cemetery, rural Bagley. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left with the family.
