Lynn Rivett

Lynn M. Rivett, 77, of Marcellus passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 14, 2019 with her oldest son Robert by her side. Lynn was the oldest of eleven children born to the late Edward and Marion Dillon. She graduated in 1960 from Marcellus Central Schools. Lynn worked 28 years at West Genesee Middle School District Office and was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Her greatest gift was being a daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Lynn is survived by seven children Robert, Steve (Michele), Mark (Valerie), Sara (James) Fuller, Marnie (Keith) Carlton, John (Meg) and Joe (Johnny Bean); 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 10 siblings Karen (Frank) Rivett, Bonnie Tritt, Jane (Roger) King, Kate (Paul) Carlson, Tom (Marianne) Dillon, Terry (Scott) Mantel, Mike Dillon, Patricia Olenych, Edward (Wendy) Dillon and Jimbo Dillon; cousin Bobbie Campion; sister-in-law Elizabeth Dillon; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be from 3 to 6pm, Monday, August 19th at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated 10am Tuesday in St. Francis Xavier Church. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Marcellus Sports Booster Club c/o The Michael P. Carlson Scholarship Fund, 1 Mustang Hill, Marcellus, NY 13108.
