Mr. Joseph Lee “Joe” McDowell, age 39, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday morning, August 15, 2019, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born November 9, 1979, in Louisa, Kentucky, the son of Everett Jr. McDowell and the late Patricia Louise Romans McDowell. Joe was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lenore McDowell. In addition to his father, Joe is survived by two sons, Tray Allen of Morehead, Kentucky, and Hayden of Grayson, Kentucky; three sisters, Tammy McDowell Claxon, Patricia McDowell Sullivan, and Rebecca Sue McDowell (Tim Barber), all of Grayson, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2019, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Grayson, Kentucky, with Pastor Kyle Burchett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ison Cemetery on Old Fultz Road in Grayson, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2019, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky 41143. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
