Alfred B Czaplewski 12/15/1935 ~ 8/14/2019 Al was born at Loup City, NE Dec. 15, 1935 and passed away, peacefully, at his home in Lincoln, NE Aug. 14, 2019. After 2 years in the U S Marine Corp,from 1954 til 1956, he settled at Loup City as a radio and movie tech for Sal's TV and Liberty Theater. He was a mechanic at Vern's Auto,and Erickson Ford. He also worked for Jacob's Ford at St. Paul, NE briefly. He then opened Al's Automotive until 1981 when he moved to Lincoln, NE. His last position there was at Vermeer High Plains for 35 years until his death. He loved his Son so very much. He liked hunting, guns and hand loading shells as a hobby. He also liked to participate in drag racing in his younger years. He was a member of the American Legion and served as Sgt. of Arms and Post Commander. He will be remembered, mostly, for his contagious laugh. He is survived by his Son, Bill, ex-wife, Marilyn and Sisters-in-law: Muritta, Loreen, Diane, Arvada, Vonnie, Sandy and Betty. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Parents, Ben and Nellie, Brothers: Ben, Bob, Louis, Dick, Jim, Tony, Tom and Ron. Sister Dorothy and Mike Wajkus. Sisters-in-law: Ruth and Bonnie Czaplewski. Also baby niece, Charlotte. A Celebration of Al's Life will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 2PM at Lincoln Family Funeral Care (5844 Fremont St.) A reception to follow at Sandy's
