Scott H. Schelvan Obituary

Scott H. Schelvan, 70, of Fond du Lac, went home to his Heavenly Father, Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Edenbrook of Fond du Lac. He was born January 29, 1949 in Ashland, Wisconsin, the son of Kenneth “KD” and Angela “Billie” (Blake) Schelvan. On May 12, 1990 he married Lois A. Schraufnagel at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Scott worked for Hansen Refrigeration for 35 years until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of Dotyville Hunting and Fishing Club. Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, being a jokester, woodworking, fixing cars, watching the Green Bay Packers, and loved helping others. He is survived by the love of his life, Lois; four children, Steven (Rhonda) Schelvan, Shawn (Sherry) Schelvan, Cory (Mellissa) Schelvan, and Heather (Tim Kevill) Conger; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Macy, Mathew, Mason, and Aiden; one sister, Sherry (Pete) Sherfinski; his mother-in-law, Barbara Brummond; two brothers-in-law, Terry Starkey and Dan (Wendi) Schraufnagel; sister-in-law, Karen (Jim) Hesprich; two step brothers-in-law, Larry Brummond and Terry (Kathy) Brummond; one step sister-in-law, Wendy (Rodney Dewitz) Bosch; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Schelvan; sister, Debbie Starkey; and fathers-in-law, Louis Schraufnagel and Kenneth Brummond. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Edenbrook and Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion given to Scott and his family and also to his loyal friend, Tom Langenhorst for his weekly visits. In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
