Donald L. Swiderski THE VILLAGES - Donald L. Swiderski, 77, entered into eternal life, Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Born in Toledo, OH, the son of the late Louis and Julia Swiderski. He attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated from the University of Dayton with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. Donald joined the U. S. Air Force in 1956. He attained the rank of Major and was a navigational Weapons Officer flying the Air Force B58 aircraft. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from active military service in 1976. Following military retirement he worked for GTE and General Dynamics. Donald came to The Villages from Toledo, OH in 2006. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member and lector at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood. He was a member of The Villages Memorial Honor Guard, the VFW, the Villages Polka Lovers Club and the Notre Dame Club. He enjoyed golf, traveling, reading, Notre Dame football and polka music. Donald leaves his wife, Donna (Baggett) Swiderski, children, Donald L. Swiderski(Miriam), of Ann Arbor, Mi, Ruth Anne Dorado, Oceanside, Ca., Paul J. Mahoney (Vivian)Redlands, Ca., Philip J. Swiderski (Lupita) Redlands,Ca, Mary A. Llaurado , Joan Marie Woods, Newbury Park, Ca., Catherine Anne Lloyd (Chris) Scottsdale, Az, brother, George Swiderski of Las Vegas, Na. , step children, Linda Mohr, Sylvania, Oh, Kathy (Ed) Wilcox,Toledo, Oh Ed(Kay) Poskarbiewicz, Fort Pierce, Fl, Steven ( Shirley) Poskarbiewicz,Fort Pierce, Fl and Larry Poskarbiewicz, Lambertville, Mi, also step-sons Rick Navarre, Toledo, Oh, Todd Navarre, Bay, Ohio and Peter Navarre, Toledo, Ohio, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Rosemary Baggett of Ohio, also 14 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son David A. Swiderski and a sister Angeline and his former wife, Rosemary. The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages from 2 - 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5195 East County Rd 462, Wildwood, FL 36785. 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
