David Halliday

David Ellsworth Halliday - 61, of Young’s Cove, Annapolis County, passed away November 26, 2018, at home. Born on July 3, 1957 in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late Nita Marie (Ring) Elliott and David Osborne Halliday. David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Angela (Rafuse) Halliday; devoted and much loved father of Roxanne Halliday (Nick) and Cedric Halliday (Jennifer); six grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Shayla, Emma, David, Xavier, Robert, and Preston. He was survived by his sister, Vivian (Halliday) Smith; brothers, Daniel Hayden, Timothy Halliday, and Joseph Halliday. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Patricia Halliday. David was a fisherman for many years, drove a fish truck, and managed a fish plant. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being in the outdoors. He loved music, especially classic old time country and gospel. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. No visitation by request. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday November 30, 2018 at the Parker’s Cove United Baptist Church, with Pastor Herb Anderson and Pastor Mark Elley officiating. A private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory can be made to Annapolis Valley VON 9319 Commercial St., New Minas NS, B4N 3G2 or Hillside Cemetery 5764 Shore Rd West, RR1 Hampton, B0S 1L0.
