HOFFMANN – Richard “Rick” C. Hoffmann Jr., age 71, of Grand Rapids, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Adrienne Schelelich. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frances; his children, John Hoffmann and Megan (Pat) McCauley; granddaughter, Mairen McCauley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick Schelelich, Kay (Phil) Shiffer, John (Mary) Fix, Marie (James) Sherwood, Diana (Larry) Ritzke and Cecilia (Ken) Powers; many nieces and nephews. Rick enjoyed spending hours in the woods. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. The family will greet family and friends on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M., at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NW, Comstock Park. A celebration of Rick’s life will follow at 7:00 P.M., at the funeral home with a time of sharing, and under the auspice of Kent County Veterans Honor Guard presiding.
