Eric Hyde

Eric Lamont Hyde, 56, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away August 9th, 2019. He was born September 4th, 1962 to Louis Hyde and Jacquelyn Sheers. He worked in the food service industry. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Corinthians Baptist Church. He was a fun loving person that people liked to be around and was always the life of the party. He was to live his life like his nickname - "Icon." He was a Pittsburgh Steelers and UofL fan. He spent his later years trying to make amends for past mistakes with good deeds. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters; Wilma and Kim Horton and brother, Darryl Horton. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Jacquelyn Sheers Horton; son, Eric Hyde Jr.; daughter, Erica Yancey; brother, Benjamin Horton; sister, Gina Horton; grandchildren Eric III and Erion Hyde and Kaidynce Yancey. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15th, 2019 from 12pm to 1pm followed by a 1pm service at Spring Valley Funeral Home 719 E. Chestnut Street Louisville, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Green Meadows. Spring Valley Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hyde family.
