Mary Oseemeemow COLD LAKE, Alberta Obituary

Mary Oseemeemow

It is with sad hearts that the family of Mary Josephine Oseemeemow announces her sudden passing on Friday, August 9, 2019 in Bonnyville, Alberta at the age of 68 years. Josephine was a very loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother & great grandmother. She always had her grandchildren and chapans around her, who she adored so much. She had moved away in the 80’s from her home reserve, but that never stopped her from travelling back and forth to visit with her daughters, grandbabies and sisters. Also, when she came back, she never forgot to hang around with her good friends to have a good time with them. She loved travelling to attend Sundances in Loon Lake and Waterhen. She also attended Lake St. Anne yearly. Her desire was to come back home where her roots are, not knowing she would be coming home for the last time. Loving you mother, always. Your earthly work is done mom but your memory will always be imprinted in the hearts of your girls, grandkids, great grandkids. Your legacy will live on. Go rest now with our heavenly father. Josephine is lovingly survived by her husband of 50 years: Robert Cardinal; six daughters: Geraldine Oseemeemow (Tommy), Evelyn Moostoos, Donna Oseemeemow, Allison Oseemeemow, Barbra Oseemeemow, Mavis Oseemeemow (Ross); son: Ernest Sundown Jr. (Jennifer); two sisters: Leona Oseemeemow (Joe), Bella Oseemeemow; forty-one grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren. Josephine was predeceased by her parents: Dan & Baby Bighead; daughter: Delphine Chief; grandson: Taylor George; sister: Maryrose Oseemeemow.
