Connie L. Rapatan of Herndon, Virginia quietly passed away at her home on August 9, 2019 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Gabriel; her darling daughter, Aina; eight siblings, Jesus Alfonso (Jessy), Maria Elena (Marcia), Ireneo Jr (Jose), Eduardo (Ding), Crisanto (Cris), Arsenia (Arnie), Nicandro (Nick), Ramona (Mona); and beloved dog, Brooklyn. Connie was born on October 1, 1959 in Agoo, Philippines, to the late Ireneo and Irene Laroya. Connie received a Bachelor degree at the University of the East in Manila and immigrated to the United States in 1985. Connie later went on to work at the Department of Defense in Washington, DC. Connie was a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. She adored her family and always put others before herself. She enjoyed taking care of others, had a very kind heart, and was always willing to extend a helping hand. Connie also loved to cook and would often devote her weekends to cooking beautiful meals for her family to enjoy. Connie will be fondly remembered for her love of family, generosity, and exceptional cooking skills. She will be deeply missed.
