Kelly (Tschida) Dooley, 36 year old resident of Maple Grove, passed away August 9, 2019 after a courageous fight of Burkitt Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Kelly was born in Long Prairie, MN and grew up in St Cloud, MN attending Sts. Peter, Paul and Michael Elementary School and graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School class of 2001. Kelly attended the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and earned a degree in accounting in 2005 and also a Master of Business Taxation graduate degree. She also earned the CPA designation. During her high school years, she played soccer and basketball and did mission work in Honduras. She was a voyageur, spending a month camping and canoeing in the Canadian wilderness with the Les Voyageurs Inc. Expeditions North program. During college, she did a study abroad in New Zealand, where she bungee jumped from the Kawarau Bridge, the home of the first commercial bungee jump. Kelly loved to travel visiting many US destinations including Hawaii. She traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, England, Scotland and Australia. She was also a very accomplished piano player and played twice at Northrop Auditorium at the U of M. After graduating from the U of M she worked for Grant Thornton accounting firm, then AGA Medical, St Jude Medical and was currently working for Target Corporation as a Senior Manager Income Tax. At the U of M she met the love of her life Nicholas Dooley. They were married at the Minnesota History Center on March 19, 2011. They have two beautiful children Maya (5) and Evan (4). Their children were always the most important part of their lives. She is further survived by parents, Greg and Pat Tschida; brother, Mick (Elizabeth); sister, Kathryn; grandma, Eileen; parents-in-law, Jim and Diane; sister-in-law, Kara (Ben) Rebholz; brother-in-law, Nate (Keely); sister-in-law, Kaitlin (Anthony Rux) and many other family and friends. A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held at 3 pm Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave NE & Highway 65) with visitation beginning at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for the future education of the Dooley children. Checks may be made out to the Dooley family and mailed to the funeral home, or a donation may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
