Francesco Licandro Born on December 6th, 1928 in San Roberto, Reggio Calabria, Italy. Passed away August 9th, 2019 It is with profound sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather at the age of 90. Francesco leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 60 years, Maria Angela (Bueti), his sons Giuseppe(Kathy), and Vincenzo (Noula); grandchildren, Ria (Justin), Samantha , Gina, Daniella and Alaina. Sister-In-Laws Grazia Spezzano(Antonino), Antonietta and Gail Bueti along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in both Canada and Italy. Francesco was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe & Maria Licandro, and his brothers and sisters Maria (Giorgio), Antonio (Filomena), Enza (Giovanni), Mimma (Giuseppe), Dominico (Carmela), and Giuseppe. Father and Mother In-Law Vincenzo and Caterina Bueti, Brother In-Laws Giuseppe Bueti (Giuseppina), Diego Bueti, Rocco Bueti and Sister In-Law Filomena (Francesco) Bova. Our Papa was a strong and humble man who never looked for praise. His wants were very few. He was one of our greatest blessings. The world has become a duller place without the man we called Nonno & Pops. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has come to comfort us at this time of great sorrow and need. Mass of Resurrection will be held Tuesday August 20th, 2019 at the Holy Rosary church, 510 River Ave. at 11:00 am. Viewing to begin at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers we ask that you spend quality time with your loved ones or make a donation to your favorite charity.
