Arlene R. Harriman

Arlene R. (Marchisio) Harriman, 95, of Illinois, and formerly of Bradford, died Friday morning, August 9, in Sandwich, IL. She was born in Haverhill, March 12, 1924, daughter of the late Battista and Delina (Danese) Marchisio and was educated in the Groveland school system. Mrs. Harriman was employed at the former Tannery, So. Summer St., Bradford. She enjoyed crocheting and making doilies. She was the wife of the late Clarence W. Harriman, Jr., sister of the late Carl and Peter Marchisio, half sister of the late Janet Marchisio, mother-in-law of the late Robert Phillips and great grandmother of the late Jeremy Johnson. Her survivors include a daughter, Patricia Phillips of Sandwich, IL, a son, Clarence W. Harriman and his wife Lisa of Zephyr Hills, FL, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Friday morning, August 16, from 9:00 to 10:30 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 So. Main St., Bradford, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St. Patrick’s Church, So. Groveland. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. My favorite memory of Grammy is seeing her driving her convertible fast and furious like the little old lady from Pasadena of Beach Boys fame. She made me want to have a convertible of my own. I'll miss her smile... Rest in Peace Grammy... Love you
