Guadalupe Villarreal Jr. Obituary

Guadalupe Villarreal Jr passed away on August 9 2019 surrounded by his family. He was tragically taken by cancer after receiving a diagnosis less than 3 months earlier. Guadalupe, or as we know him "Lupe", was born October 18, 1952 in Brownsville, TX. He was born to Guadalupe Villarreal Sr and Refugia Cavazo. He was survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary G. Villarreal, his three children Guadalupe III, Paul and Annette. He was a grandpa or "wello" to Cheyenne and Paul Jr, a brother to six brothers and sisters as well as many many friends and family. Lupe was a die hard nfl Cowboys fan! With the rest of the family being 49er fans, there were alot of fights in the house during football season. As a true Texan, Lupe was proud to be from Texas and represented proudly. He loved listening and dancing to his tejano music and he was rarely seen without his cowboy hat. He was also a very hard worker. He started his career in the fields working agriculture and after years of being a general laborer he moved up to management where he spent most of his career in the grape vineyards with his wife by his side for over 25 years. The last few years of his life he took a new career path working for the City of Soledad as a groundskeeper. Rest in Peace Lupe.
